Be All, End All

Christ in a bucket, is it really 2025 ALREADY????

Almost 7 years ago… 7 YEARS AGO… I joined this bunch of degenerates hoping I was good enough to help them turn a tribute dream, into a fun filled, thrashtastic, tribute reality

It’s very cool to think we’re still here. We’re still doing the do. We’re still having fun. We’ve had so many awesome memories in-between, and during this time. Not just ourselves, of course, nah, we’ve met and made a ton of new friends on the road, beyond getting to know each other!

2024 was one helluva year of disappointments, endings, some high highs, and of course new beginnings.

We should have kicked the year off in Edinburgh, with Hotter than Hell, but illness, and personal lives, kicked not only that one, but our first visit to Chester in the stones big time as well. As a band it’s never something you like doing, both from a gig-going perspective, and from a venue perspective. It’s a helluva lot of work to pull together a gig, from all sides, and we want to say a huge thanks to you lot for being so understanding last year, and of course, to the venues, and promoters, who we worked with to get these shows together.

2025 is looking far more positive, in more ways than one. In fact, I’m going to stake my reputation on it being the best year for us YET. Bookmark this bad boy, and tell me how right or wrong I was come December 😉

The Wee Four, Wakefield – April 2024
Just before going on stage

When 2024 did finally get started for us, it actually couldn’t have been at a better place. We felt that Wakefield 2023 wasn’t our best. I’d like to think we made up for it big style in April. We had a set that included a little bit of everything from Turbin, to Belladonna, to Bush… hell, we even managed our first ever live running of Bring The Noise, which was “unique” I’ll say!

It was a trip we all needed, and one that we had an absolute blast at before, during, and after!

Our first trip to Manchester in June (see the pics above taken by the awesome Neil Priddy) was also the first gig to introduce Clash of The Tributes, in honour of the Anthrax, Megadeth, and Slayer tours of the early nineties.

Rebellion is a brilliant venue, and one we hope to return to at some point. Manchester we thank thee!

…We kinda found ourselves grinding to a halt after this. Gutted, having to cancel a trip to the always amazing Trillians in Newcastle, Manchester was the last appearance behind the kit for Paul Meechan. Being in a tribute band for us has always been a part time thing. A hobby that we all love, and enjoy. Sadly, for us, sometimes life just gets the better of us, and we have to call time. It was with this that we had to say our farewells, and give our best wishes to Paul as he decided it was time.

So we took a step back, and began the hunt for someone who could carry the lot of us on stage, behind the kit. Drummers are some of the hards members of a band to fill, in more ways than one, so we considered ourselves hugely fortunate, and lucky, to have found an absolute monster in John Gibbons.

An absolute stalwart of the Glasgow metal scene, and drummer for Glasgow thrashers Crusaders we truly couldn’t believe our luck when he came in, sat down, played without batting an eyelid, and very quickly made us all feel very good about ourselves in no time at all.

It meant 2024 finished with a out and out, bonafide, gargantuan gig at our Glasgow home, Ivory Blacks… the only sad part was we had to do it without Megadeth UK, and Live Undead, who themselves both had illness to contend with.

Thankfully, that gave us a chance to flex our setlist, and also give the guys in Moretallica some more time to do their do… and you know what, it ended up being a tremendous end to 2024 for us. TREE-MEN-DUS 😛

So with that, we look to YEAR 7. 2025. SEVEN GIGS. Seems appropriate.

We’re hitting Blackpool, Edinburgh, Carlisle, Leicestershire, Wakefield, Newcastle, and finishing in Glasgow. 7 in 7 seems somewhat appropriate.

It’s been amazing so far… far more highs, than lows, and let’s be honest, if that wasn’t the case, would we still be here? Who knows!

In the meantime, thank you to all of you; the paying punters, the awesome venues, with their promoters, and sound engineers, and our most amazing-est of mates we share the stage with during the gigs.

We wouldn’t be here without you lot. Here’s to 2025.
We’ll see you down the front…
just remember, if we ask you, “Are Ye Dancin’?”
the correct response is, “ARE YE ASKIN’?”

All the very best for this coming year! Scotti – AKA Joey B
