Grrrrrrrrrrrreeeetings dear readers, metalheads, mad moshers, old rockers, thrashers, hellraisers and other denizens of the music world we so dearly love…
…when last we spoke, when last I spoke, or wrote, to you lot, we had not long finished playing Festwich last summer and were heading into a second half of the year of gigs and a chance to see Anthrax for the first time in ages too.
Seeing Anthrax live, and meeting the guys too, was definitely one of the highlights of the year for us after Festwich. Gigs wise we didn’t quite have as many as we had hoped, thems the breaks I guess, as things outwith our control meant we had to cancel a few. It’s something as a band you hate to do, you feel like you’re letting folk down when you can’t commit, or a venue can’t commit, but that’s just the way things go these days. You dust yourself down and ready yourself for the next challenge..

…and it’s felt like an eternity since we took to the stage in Newcastle at the end of October. Studio time has been slim, and we’ve struggled to get any real traction going ahead of our first gig of 2023 in Glasgow. Again, this is just how things go when the band isn’t your first commitment, and we all made a decision when we started this that life, work, and family were important first of all.

So we work away at sets while we can, and I think we’re in a damn great place even with all these challenges, ahead of The Wee Four when it returns to Glasgow at the end of March.
…and the Wee Four marks the start of what should be an exciting FIFTH year of our existence as a tribute band. Yep, can you believe we’ve been on the go for five years! Time flies when you’re having fun.
We have a jam packed year ahead to celebrate as well. We’re hitting a few places we’ve never done before, the Wee Four / Big Four thing is being taken around the UK which is tremendous. We’re even getting to take to the stage at The Garage in Glasgow. Another kinda bucketlist musician thing for me and the guys.
Yep, all in all it’s shaping up to be a damn fine year of metal for us, and as always we hope we’ll see you on the road for some of it.
Until then, as always, stay safe, take care, and keep metal thrashing mad!
