Got The Time…

Would you look at that… It’s only been a few short months since I last update the blog and I thought this weekend would be the ideal time to do so again, because we’re now into the second part of the first half of the year, and, well, I’ve “Got The Time” you see 😉

Yep, this weekend was supposed to be our first visit to Inverness, but sadly COVID still seems to be a complete bastard when it comes to the live music scene and through no fault of ours or Mad Hatter’s in Inverness their poor sound engineer came down with the dreaded lurgy so the gig sadly had to be called off. We’re proper gutted we didn’t make it up north, but health and wellbeing should always come first and we hope Hatter’s engineer is back to full health soon!

Beyond this weekend though, we had a couple of stonking gigs in Glasgow to start the year. Our rearranged Xmas Bash with Mactallica and Maiden Scotland finally arrived at the end of February and it was an absolute bloody smasher. We’ll gloss over the technical issues Martin had with his amp, which were fixed bloody brilliantly with some help from the lads in Mactallica and Maiden Scotland (thanks once again lads), just in time for the second half of the set and “a song about the fucking polis”.

We hardly had any time to breathe before The Wee Four, three times cancelled due to COVID, finally hit Glasgow. It was an absolutely bloody incredible night. Ivories was packed, all four bands were on top top form, and we officially brought the Kings of Thrash to a sweaty, noisy, raucous, and insane Glasgow crowd. One of the best gigs I think we’ve played.

Beyond that, we’re now taking a short time to get back in the studio and practice a few songs we’ve not played for a while, as well as some that we’ve been wanting to include for a long time

Then, Jubilee weekend, we hit the road down south to what we hope will be our first visit of many to Lancaster and “The Pub”. It’s one of those great looking venues that you know when full will be absolutely crazy. Given it’s a special weekend in the UK too, we have a feeling a lot of folk may be ready to rock, roll, and bring the noise with us.

Following that up with our first trip to The Dreadnought in Bathgate, alongside Black Sabbath tribute guys After The End and before we know it that’s the first half of the year gone and we gear up for FESTWICH!!!!

I’m just going to leave things there, as it’s a fitting halfway point. Enjoy the pics taken by the amazing Mark Rutherford at the Classic Grand, and the equally talented Eddie McEleney at The Wee Four, as well as this rip snorter of Got The Time, filmed and edited by Haufcut Productions
