I cannot believe the last post was 21st November 2020. We were so full of optimism that 2021 was going to see the pandemic lockdown put to bed, that come Christmas and New Year we’d all be gearing up for a gig filled 2021. That a new dawn away from the horror of 2020 was past us.
How wrong that proved to be sadly.
One year since lockdown started in earnest, and following a truly awesome gig, and our last we didn’t realise at the time, in Bannermans. It’s felt an eternity in a year.
But maybe, just maybe, this time we could be looking at a proper return to live music, to gigging, to share memories and music with all you amazing folk who take the time to come and see us and support us.
We HAVE to remain upbeat, confident, keep positive, stay focused. End of April we hope the studio doors will once again open and we can get cracking because we have a hope for some amazing shows before we see the end of 2021.
You’ll see we’ve now updated the site to include the latest gigs, including what will hopefully be our first appearance at Festwich just outside of Manchester in the Summer. Not only that, but we then have some cracking 40th Anniversary shows lined up with our mates in Live Undead as both Anthrax and Slayer hit the big 4-0. We’ll be taking these to Newcastle and Edinburgh, two places we loved to bits last time we played.
…and finally, or should that be Finale? We live in hope that we’ll finally get the return of The Wee Four – Mactallica, Megadeth UK, Live Undead, and ourselves, this time tearing Glasgow a new one in 2022.
We’re raring to go, we’re itching to get back in the studio, and we’re dying to see you all again in venues across the UK.
Until then, stay safe, take care of each other, and keep Spreading The Disease in the right way!
Peace out
