Among The Living…

So here we are. We’re almost hitting the end of 2020 and the last time I updated this blog we were full of enthusiasm getting back into the studio in July. Things were looking bright, coronavirus cases were dying down and we were all thinking the second half of the year would bring the promise and return of live music. Hell, we even managed to do some impromptu in-studio sessions which were a bit rusty, but a lot of fun to do

But we have to remain optimistic. We live in hope that these vaccines are deployed quickly to everyone and we can once again look forward to bringing the music of Anthrax to you all across Scotland and beyond. It’s a HUGE year for Anthrax themselves next year, their 40th Anniversary, so we want to make sure we have the chance to do something special to celebrate.

First, we’re keeping all our fingers and toes crossed for The Wee Four being able to run at the end of March. We were gutted it didn’t happen this year after the great response from our first event in Edinburgh in 2019. If it goes ahead, it will be one mighty gig to see in 2021.

Beyond that, there’s a few others to be reconfirmed, rebooked, and rescheduled for the likes of Inverness, Newcastle, and some of the summer festivals we should have been playing. But there’s also a mighty bad boy coming at the start of October as we get the pleasure of sharing the stage with the mighty 101% Pantera when they come to Glasgow on the 8th at the Hard Rock Cafe of all places.

So, yeah, we miss you all, we hope you’re all staying safe, we hope that 2021 will bring a close to this annus horribilis as one wee queen once said, and we see a return to live music not just for us, but for all the musicians, venues, roadies, engineers, and all involved in the music scene. We all need it for our own sanity.

Until then, peace out, and stay among the living…
